All proceeds go toward the construction and maintenance of a vast system of trails stretching from the Coloma-Lotus Valley down to Salmon Falls.

<p>Save the Date: Monday, June 9, 9am &#8211; 4pm, EarthTrek Camp 2</p>
<p>The 11th Annual Headwaters Institute &#8211; American River Seminar is 7 weeks  away. I am working with Scott Scheu for the 3rd year to plan a great lineup of  speakers, workshops, and presentations. This is an educational opportunity  specifically designed for river guides. Outfitters, business owners, community  members, and anyone who is interested in learning about the American River  watershed are welcome to attend.</p>
<p><span id="more-45"></span>Presenters include Bill Center, Mark Dubois, Jeff Mount, and Tab Berg We are  once again excited to have Wild Things bring their amazing live animals show  (for those of you who attended last year, they brought a beaver, cougar, eagle,  owl, and a rattle snake). There will be ample time between each session for  socializing, raffle prizes, and of course snacks and lunch (which are  included).</p>
<p>Help Wanted: There is plenty to do to make this seminar successful, so if you  are interested in helping out either with planning or on the day of the event,  please email Tessa: tsibbs @ gmail DOT com or Scott: mrbfetus @ yahoo DOT  com.</p>
<p>We ask that you please forward this email to river managers, guides, and  anyone in the community who might enjoy learning more about the American River.  We ask that you encourage your guides to attend the seminar  and help spread the  word.</p>
<p>Event details for 2008 American River Rendezvous:<br />
Date: Monday, June 9,  2008<br />
Location: Earth Trek Camp 2<br />
Time: 9am-4pm Educational  workshops<br />
The event will be followed by the Trailfest (same location)  from<br />
6-10pm (dinner, dancing, beer, wine)<br />
Cost: $15 or FREE with a ticket  to the Trailfest (tickets are $40 at<br />
the door, or outfitters can purchase  them for $35 in advance)<br />
Who: guides, outfitters, community members, store  owners, government officials, anyone interested in the American River</p>

The Poker Run will be on the Powerhouse (Lickety-Split) Run. All events have easy access for boaters and spectators.</p>
