Headwaters Institute American River Seminar
Hey River Folks!
Save the Date: Monday, June 9, 9am – 4pm, EarthTrek Camp 2
The 11th Annual Headwaters Institute – American River Seminar is 7 weeks away. I am working with Scott Scheu for the 3rd year to plan a great lineup of speakers, workshops, and presentations. This is an educational opportunity specifically designed for river guides. Outfitters, business owners, community members, and anyone who is interested in learning about the American River watershed are welcome to attend.
Presenters include Bill Center, Mark Dubois, Jeff Mount, and Tab Berg We are once again excited to have Wild Things bring their amazing live animals show (for those of you who attended last year, they brought a beaver, cougar, eagle, owl, and a rattle snake). There will be ample time between each session for socializing, raffle prizes, and of course snacks and lunch (which are included).
Help Wanted: There is plenty to do to make this seminar successful, so if you are interested in helping out either with planning or on the day of the event, please email Tessa: tsibbs @ gmail DOT com or Scott: mrbfetus @ yahoo DOT com.
We ask that you please forward this email to river managers, guides, and anyone in the community who might enjoy learning more about the American River. We ask that you encourage your guides to attend the seminar and help spread the word.
